Rules
Root Digital league
Root Digital League is a fun and informal way to play Root using the digital app. League games are highly competitive and entertaining, organized over the length of an established season, and results are reported and tracked.
Guidelines
General Information
- Season M04 begins October 1 at 12:00 am (UTC) and continues until December 31, 11:59p (UTC).
- You may join league games at any time on the Woodland Warriors discord server, but you must register here first.
- All league games must be played with AdSet including all faction expansions (if you don’t own all the available expansions, you will not be able to create league games, but you can still join them).
- Subscribe to #root-digital-league notifications to find out more and share ideas with the Digital League community.
- Check out the leaderboards, as well as player and faction stats; we hope to add more stats over time and appreciate your patience.
Game setup
- Select the Root Digital League role in Channels & Roles section of the discord server to be pinged and join a game (use the 👍 reaction) when someone is hosting in the #root-lfg channel.
- Alternatively, you can host a game by using -lfg rootdigleague [fun/unique game name, live/async, deck, clearings, 2d VB, etc.] command in #root-lfg channel. This will ping other players with the league LFG role.
- When the table you are hosting is full, use the ✅ reaction and the bot will automatically create a post with your game details in the league forum channel, assign the game tag, and ping the 4 subscribed players to it.
Game guidelines
- The host should use the command -rand map in the game thread for a random map selection, then create the lobby in game and post the password in the thread.
- The last player to join the lobby in the app should take a screenshot of the seating in the active games tab of the app and post it in the discord game thread. This guarantees that turn order is captured.
- The last seat player should take a screenshot of the draft and post it in the game thread.
- Before the game ends, the winner should take a screenshot of the board state, and then a screenshot of the victory screen, and post both in the game thread.
- These guidelines are not mandatory—these screenshots contain duplicate information but following these guidelines ensures all data is captured and provides admins the means to address errors. Your game may be voided if the following rules are broken, notably in case of lost information.

- If you are uncertain of any of the above information, talk to the other players in your game to confirm before submitting.
Game disqualification
There have always been bugs and exploiting them is part of digital life. However, per RDL tradition, if a bug is truly gamebreaking and the other players agree, the game can be abandoned. If the win was indisputably yours (in the final round only) and your competitors agree, you can log the win. This rule also applies in case of a player replaced by AI in the final round.
Player disqualification
Players can be disqualified from league play if they:
- Time out or resign intentionally
- Participate in private/side chats about game strategy
- Intentionally break any rule in order to void a game or register a voided game
- Do not observe the Woodland Warriors Discord community guidelines at #server-rules
Players may report these issues at: https://bit.ly/rdl-dq.
Comments & feedback
Any comments/feedback should be posted to the main discord League channel, so they can be discussed by the league and potentially incorporated into the following season.
